An Emmy Award-winning producer, Sam was born in New York City, graduated from the University of Southern California and studied German at UCLA. After working at 20th Century Fox in Feature Development, Sam wrote and directed the documentary ”Warum wir hier sind“ (“Why we´re here”) for the BBC and WDR.

Sam headed the TV Movie Department at RTL Television in Cologne and was responsible for the development and production of approximately 100 TV-movies and miniseries.

Sam co-founded Rowboat with Jan Mojto’s Beta Film in January 2010.

Beginning with Rowboat’s first film, A DAY FOR A MIRACLE, which won the 2013 International Emmy, Sam and our Team have produced a variety of award-winning films and series.
