Another Primetime Win for "Murder by the Lake" with the film „Wheel of Fate“
The wheel of ratings is turning again for the successful crime series: The ZDF-premiere of the 24th film, “Murder by the Lake – Wheel of Fate,” achieved 25.9 % market share with 6.108 million viewers, securing the top spot of the evening by far. Among the key 14–59 demographic, the film also performed strongly, attracting 1.262 million viewers and an impressive 14.7% market share.
Principal Photography begins on three new episodes of "Murder by the Lake“
Three new episodes of „Murder by the Lake“ are in production since the beginning of March starring Matthias Koeberlin and Anna Werner Friedmann as the German-Austrian investigative team. In “The Water Ghost“ (WT), Eisler herself comes under suspicion after a date blackout. In “The Marksman’s Wife ” (WT), the murder of a member of a marksmen‘s club with a historic flintlock pistol exposes dangerous secrets in a winery. In “Witchcraft” (WT), the investigators are confronted with modern superstition and old enemy stereotypes as they solve the ritualistic murder of a self-proclaimed “herbal witch“.

Justus Johanssen nominated for THE RIOT ACT

The long-running crime series continues its winning streak with a fresh face in the cast: The ZDF-premiere of the 23rd film, “Murder by the Lake – The Wishing Tree,” achieved 27.7 % market share with 6.64 million viewers, securing the top spot of the evening, even leaving the consistent winner “Tagesschau” behind. Among the key 14–59 demographic, the film also performed strongly, attracting 1.54 million viewers and an impressive 17.1% market share.
