In a spectacular escape, the sadistic murderer André Haffner (Felix Klare) breaks out of a psychiatric institution. Sunny Becker (Friederike Becht), a fugitive tracker with the state police just ending a medical leave, is assigned to lead the manhunt. The tough chief detective superintendent doesn’t entrust everything to her.
Her colleagues Ralf Keller (Thomas Loibl), Markus Fechner (Christoph Letkowski) and Jakob Svoboda (Oleg Tikhomirov) make up her team. Her life partner Alex Reuter (Golo Euler) with whom she does not only work, but also live, share the secret of her recent absence from duty. Will the truth come out and destroy them?
